On Location: House of Dereon Launch At Bloomingdale's

On Tuesday, Oct. 28, Beyoncé & Miss Tina stopped by the Bloomie's flagship store to debut their new HOD dress line and promote Cadillac Records.

I arrived to the store and headed straight to the 5th floor where the event was being held. They were tons of people gathered in front of the elevators waiting for her entrance. When she got off the elevator, her security whisked her off with the paparazzi/reporters following closely behind. She did interviews in a fitting room area for 30-45 minutes before coming out to speak to everyone.

Tanika Ray, from Extra, was there are the host and she looked beautiful in a yellow gown from the HOD line. Beyoncé & Tina each spoke about the new line, crediting some of their inspiration to Beyoncé's role as Etta James in the movie Cadillac Records. The crowd was very loud & wild as you can imagine! Beyoncé really cares about her fans and at one point made a deal with the paparazzi- she stood and posed for pics for them in exchange for them moving temporary to allow the fans a chance to see her and take their own pics. She briefly touched on her album and declared "I am Sasha Fierce"!

Bloomingdale's did a great job with the launch. The dress salon was filled with HOD dresses on display along with pictures of Bee in character as Etta James. They also had TVs showing the movie trailer, footage of Etta James and Beyoncé's performance of At Last from Fashion Rocks. They played the soundtrack from the movie the entire time. It's definitely a must buy- Bee sounds AMAZING on the Etta tracks she covered.

Outside the store, the window displays were FABULOUS. As you can see in the posted pics, they really went all out. I loved the red Cadillac and dresses/pics from the movie. The HOD windows were great as well with custom-made mannequins that looked like Beyoncé. They even have the new era hair lol.

Did anyone else go? What were your thoughts?
