Beyonce Chart News

Good afternoon Beyonce fans! Looks like there's been some amazing movement for Beyonce on the charts. Let's take a look, shall we?

If I Were A Boy

If I Were a Boy skyrockets from #68 to the #3 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart after the song was officially released on iTunes last Tuesday. This is amazing news considering that it has not been released to any other digital outlet and the song has not been performed anywhere yet. In addition, the video has only been out for two weeks!

Looks like the song is an internet hit as it was #1 on iTunes after only 24 hours and stayed there for nearly a week. More importantly, it is currently #1 on the Billboards Hot Digital Chart!

Last week also marked a milestone as Beyonce became the first artist to simultaneously have the #1 song and the #1 music video on iTunes. She achieved that honor by having IIWAB as the #1 song while Single Ladies was the #1 music video.

Speaking of music videos, IIWAB has officially over 5 million views since it has been released on Beyonce's official Youtube channel and would be the #1 viewed video on Youtube for the entire month of October if they didn't post the HQ version of the video several days after the first version was posted.

Speaking of Youtube sensations it's now time to look at how Single Ladies is performing...

Single Ladies

Relying on airplay alone, Single Ladies moves up from #10 to the #8 position in the Billboard R&B Charts and climbed from #72 to #56 on the Billboard Hot 100 and listed as the fastest growing song under the Interesting Moves and Debuts list.

The certified ladies dance anthem has been an even bigger Youtube sensation as it has spawned hundreds of Single Ladies dance-off videos already. We have always known Beyonce to be a trendsetter so it's no surprise to see the video make such an impact on today's Youtube-happy society. Get it Ms. Beyonce wannabes! Some of ya'll are looking pretty Sasha Fierce with those dance moves! I won't comment on the rest as it takes a lot of guts to try to emulate such choreography.
